With Thanksgiving taking place tomorrow in the USA, I wanted to get into the holiday spirit by expressing my gratitude for the Parallel fam. Pack Drop VI and the completion of the base set are only a few months away, so now is a great time to take a step back and appreciate the team’s bountiful harvest.
I’m thankful for the entire Parallel team because they have displayed a strong and focused commitment to building an innovative trading card game. Teamwork makes the dream work, so I really appreciate the tireless efforts being put in by all of the project leaders, developers, designers, writers, emissaries, and community managers.
I’m also thankful for the team’s amazing group of artists. Their level of quality and consistency has been off the charts since day one. Each artist’s style is so unique but still appears seamless within the card collection as a whole. Parallel is clearly setting a new standard for art in the web3 gaming space while simultaneously capturing the imagination of a new TCG community.
I also want to give a stick tap to all of the volunteers helping behind the scenes, including my fellow trusty Wardens, the content creators, and the independent tool builders.
When it comes to gaming, it’s not about how many bosses you’ve beaten or the trophies you’ve earned. It’s about the friends you’ve made along the way.
Seeing so many Parallel fans stick together and forge friendships through this bear market has been a real treat. Whether it’s through the daily banter on Discord or the great conversations taking place on Twitter, the level of genuine enthusiasm and excitement for the game is a reprieve from the gloomy nonsense I’m seeing elsewhere.
Gaming should be a fun and healthy escape from the stresses of everyday life. When I’m with my fellow Wardens in the playtesting dojo, I love being immersed in a competitive and learning state of mind. I’m super thankful for that opportunity, and I can’t wait to experience similar joys with others.
The Echelon Prime Foundation is one of the main reasons why I gravitated so heavily toward the project back in 2021. There is intent and purpose behind their broader vision for housing multiple titles under the same ecosystem, which sets them apart from other games in web3.
In a time where rugs are everywhere and trust is getting harder to earn, this team has bucked that trend by consistently digging in the trenches. Onward and upwards as they continue to build a resilient, adaptable gaming franchise!
The holiday season will be a much-needed break for everyone because the first quarter of 2023 is going to be super busy. There’s the potential release of the $PRIME token, the hype around PDVI, another issue of the comic, more progress on the physicals, and who knows what else coming through the pipes.
Then of course there’s the closed alpha access to the game, which appears to still be on track for sometime in Q1.
This article could be way longer, but I think you get the point. I’m truly thankful for what Parallel accomplished in 2021 and 2022, but that makes me even more excited for what’s in store in 2023. Whatever rolls out and however it ends up looking, I know for sure it will bring a new level of excitement to the community.
To the whole Parallel team and everyone that has worked so hard to bring this game to life — thank you for the wonderful bounty of TCG goodies!
