Keywords

Armed

Units with the Armed Keyword, deal their damage before non-Armed Units do. However, if both Units have Armed, combat is resolved normally.

Defender

Enables the Unit to optionally block attacks targeting the Player or another Unit.

Assault

If Damage was dealt to the Enemy Player this turn, playing a Unit with this keyword triggers that Unit's associated ability. This ability does not trigger if no Damage was dealt to the Enemy Player this turn.

Muster

An ability that triggers when a Unit enters play.

Battle Ready

Units with this Keyword do not suffer from Fatigue and can attack on the same turn that they were played.

Pacifist

Cannot Attack [but can still defend, if the Unit has Defender].

Decay

At the beginning of the controlling player's turn, this Unit and any adjacent Units take one (1) damage.

Attuned

At the start of the controlling player's turn, this Unit changes between its Dormant and Awakened State.

Shielded

This Unit is immune to the next Enemy Card Effect that targets it.

Evasive

This Unit cannot be targeted by Effects.

Name

The Card's name is what determines its stats and abilities. Cards with the same name can have different art and cosmetic differences but the card's stats and abilities will always be the same.

Ability

The Card's name is what determines its stats and abilities.

Energy Cost

This represents the energy cost to play the card.

Card Type

This area shows you what type of card it is. Card types: Unit, Relic, Effect, Upgrade, and Token.

Attack

The amount of damage the card can deal.

Health

The card is destroyed once its health is reduced to zero [0].

Field

This is where each player places their units.

Paragons

Each Parallel has a selection of three Paragons. One must be assigned to each deck. They provide a passive ability throughout the match, and in most cases an “active” ability when played as a Unit.

Your Hand

Your hand consists of cards that you have drawn, but not played.

Opponent's Hand

Your opponents hand consists of cards that they have drawn, but not played.

Turn Timer

Once the timer hits zero that person's turn ends.

Deck

Your deck is the pile of cards from which you draw cards to your hand.

Waste

 A player’s discard pile. Defeated or Destroyed cards will go into this pile as well.

Energy

The “currency” a player uses to pay Energy Costs to play their cards. Each Banked card grants 1 Energy. A player’s Energy refills at the start of their turn.

Relics

Relics have their own place on the board.

Revealed Banked Cards

There are various cards in the game used to reveal banked cards. When a banked card has been revealed you will see this yellow block next to it.

Card Types

Unit

The most common type of card in a given Deck. These are played on to the Field and persist between turns. They are capable of engaging in combat with other Units and dealing direct damage to the Enemey Player.

Relic

A card type that is played to the Field, but does not engage in combat. Relics provide passive influence on the battle.

Effect

A card type representing immediate one-time effects.

Upgrade

Cards that are attached to a Unit and augments their Stats and/or Abilities.
