Hello and welcome back to my weekly recap. I’m Lleeto and I look forward to documenting the Parallel and Echelon events that have occurred over the past week.
On Friday, 21st April at 5 pm EST, Terminals became available for purchase.
However, just five hours before launch time Parallel shared that they had adjusted the price to acquire each Terminal from 111 PRIME down to just 11 PRIME. They say this was done to ensure Terminals were accessible to all Parallel/PRIME collectors and supports to ensure everyone could be involved.
With the Terminals selling out in under three minutes and currently trading at around 0.085Ξ [which is ~9x the USD value above mint price], you could consider yourself rather fortunate to have this below image on your screen: a full Terminals set.
Some key upcoming dates for Terminals:
– Shard Fragment Refinement Begins April 28th.
– Terminal Activation & Reward Retrieval Begins May 12th.
If you still aren’t too sure what Terminals are [or you want to learn more] then you can visit the Parallel Terminals FAQ for a more concise breakdown. Those of you who would love a full breakdown of Terminals and Companions can read this very well-put-together Terminals blog post from Parallel.
Companions are in-game interface items that are visible on the ParallelTCG playing field. Companions allow their owner access to exclusive in-game interactions. Please watch this incredible trailer for them below!
On May 2nd at 8 pm EST, Fitch and OGPickle will be hosting the first-ever stream from the Parallel Twitch account. Make sure you follow them to get notified when they go live!
Fitch says viewers can expect future episodes to include:
-Chats with Parallel team members
-Exciting external guests
-Giveaways
-Exclusive Content
-and much more.
The recapture vote met quorum and has concluded. Please claim your PRIME by May 2! After this date, you will no longer be able to claim Prime Event rewards. These tokens will be reallocated to the Gameplay Pool (90%) and Echelon Treasury (10%). Please note: PRIME claims from caching are unaffected. There is no claim deadline for caching pools at this time. Claim here: https://echelon.io/rewards/
In recent weeks there has been a little bit of a scandal going on in the Pokémon TCG world. It turns out that workers on the Pokémon TCG production line were stealing a lot of the rare cards. This meant that buyers of the packs didn’t even have a chance, or at least a much lower chance, of getting one of those desired rare cards in their physical packs. Watch the video here for a nice breakdown.
With this news being pretty huge in the TCG world, TheBlock wrote a piece on the subject whilst highlighting Parallel and Echelon as an example of how events like that can be avoided with the use of blockchain technology.
Echelon commented on the piece with the below quote tweet.
MrGone who is the head of game design at Parallel discussed IP in video games with @goddessinflesh and some other builders in the space. Check out the recording in the tweet below!
