Hello and welcome back to my weekly recap. Iโm Lleeto and I look forward to documenting the Parallel and Echelon events that have occurred over the past week.
The first look at Companions in-game. Featured in the below video you can see this Shroud Companion. Companions are retrieved from Activated Terminals [Terminal Activation begins May 12th] – see this explainer thread from Parallel for a great rundown.
If you’re not too sure what Ardent Prime is then here is a quick explainer: Ardent Prime is a reward program created to distinguish loyal card collectors. It’s intended to reward consistency regardless of collection size. Every wallet holding Parallel TCG cards is eligible.
Echelon announced that digital artist Ryan Hawthorne whose work has been featured at Sotheby’s , MakersPlace, and Manifoldxyz will be creating exclusive art for Echelon-themed Parallel TCG Card Backs.
Echelon Tweeted: “When we reached out, Ryan was more than happy to create a memento for Ardent community members.”
You have until 11:59 pm May 8th to link and set a Primary Wallet to your Parallel account to maximize your chances of Ardent Prime selection. Echelon says that after the deadline, they will begin assembling a final list of Ardent Prime winners based on their (top secret) criteria. Stay tuned – secrets contained in the exclusive rewards program will be revealed.
Follow this guide on how to link your wallets.
Claiming your PRIME earned from PRIME events is now closed! See the on-chain transaction here.
The community voted to recapture this PRIME with voting concluding on April 19th. See the PRIME Recapture proposal and voting results here.
Users had until May 2nd to claim this PRIME. Please Note: Claims for PRIME earned through Caching are not impacted and have no claim deadline.
2.1 Million $PRIME [~11% of circulating supply] was reallocated to the community via the Gameplay pool (90%) and Community Treasury (10%) for growth and onboarding initiatives. With this addition (+1.9m) the Gameplay Pool now contains 35.2m PRIME which is just under 32% of the total supply.
Please go and cast your vote here before May 11th.
Below you can see the current results for this proposal. As you can see in these results Quorum was reached and the vast majority of voters are in favor.
So what does the vote mean? Well, as you can see – it’s very easy to see how many votes are needed to swing the balance. The proposed Shielded Voting will enable the Shutter feature which will hide live results until voting has concluded. This means you will not be able to see who is winning, nor by how much. The goal is to create a more fair voting system that cannot be gamed as well as to encourage higher participation numbers. If you cannot see how far one way a vote is headed then maybe people are more likely to vote; for all they know – it’s a close call.
Check out this community call where Echelon and the community discuss the proposal.
On Tuesday, May 9th at 1 pm EST, Echelon will be hosting a community call in their Discord to discuss the below Bulletin. You can join their Discord here.
Read this fresh Twitter thread from Parallel Co-founder Kalos where he dives into the thought of a composability protocol of game assets. He speaks about how it can enable community-governed balancing, a creator economy for asset creation, and how it can standardize interoperable 3D assets for use.
