Hello and welcome back to my weekly recap. I’m Lleeto, a PrimeWiki co-founder, and I look forward to documenting the Parallel and Echelon events that have occurred over the past week.
Colony Update
Another huge tweet thread updating us on the development of Colony. Below I highlighted a few of the points of the thread but there is plenty more in there to explore so be sure to go read/watch it all.
– Rich 3D environment being developed to mirror the 2D simulation – Migrating core buildings into Colony as they are designed and completed – Mobile support for Colony in development – Core tasks Avatars complete in the simulation now have animations being developed – Colony is built on Base
Kalos Funds His Colony Avatar
Question: “Wait there’s a Colony testing phase this week??” Kalos: “Just a dry run before public test – make sure changes took and it’s where we want it to be before we open it up… 2D is in test/review phase – 3D is catching up.”
Question: “There is a winner?” Kalos: “Yes someone gets voted leader of the colony in the end of the simulation (for now)”
Question: What are the hardware requirements? Kalos: “It runs on web – don’t know UE5 / 3D requirements yet”
Galaxy Key Faucet
The long-awaited Galaxy Faucet featuring the Kathari occurred on Thursday, June 15th. This concluded the theme of a Galaxy Faucet rewarding Card Backs featuring helmets of the Parallel.
Unlike all the past Galaxy Faucets, this one did not include a puzzle. Instead, users were airdropped one of the three random Kathari Card Backs.
When Parallel was asked why this faucet was done differently, they responded with: “Focused on delivering game and colony – optimize where we can to ensure resources are focused on what matters.”
EPs propose three revisions to the community proposal process to provide a more deterministic and transparent framework: (1) Add ‘Sentiment Check’ stage to let $PRIME holders indicate preliminary views. (2) Amend ‘Emissary Vote’ to require unanimity rather than Rule of Three. (3) Create guidelines in ‘Emissary Review’ to contextualize decisions.
Please read the whole bulletin here for all the details for each of the three proposed stages.
Some Q’s: – What is a common misconception about Parallel? – Key lessons you’ve learned? – Next Parallel milestone? – What year will we hit mass adoption by?
