December is here, Season 5 of the Battle Pass is well underway, and everyone is foaming at the mouth to rip their Planetfall packs a week from Wednesday.
But the month of December also means it’s time to rev up our engines for the 2023 Prime.Wiki Awards!
This second-annual event is once again dedicated to celebrating the Parallel community and some of its most outstanding members. We couldn’t include any player-specific categories last year, so in order to build on the inaugural event, we are excited to reveal some new additions to this year’s ceremony.
For starters, we have created a clean new website to act as a dedicated home for the PWA’s.
A hefty stick tap to Bio for his excellent design work and attention to detail on the website. This will be a great place to commemorate all of the past and current PWA winners as the years go on.
Next, our friends at The Game Cellar will be hosting two livestreams in support of the 2023 PWA’s. This will culminate with the 2023 Prime.Wiki Awards Ceremony livestream on January 11, 2024.
Lastly, we established a new Judge’s Panel comprised of Parallel All-Stars to help bring more prominence and good vibes to this year’s event. Together, this 11-member group will assist the Prime.Wiki staff in selecting the nominees and finalists for nine of the 11 awards categories.
The prestigious Community Choice Award will still be voted on by the Parallel fans at large. The voting will take place on our websites, so look for more details on that next week.
New for this year, the Prime.Wiki Awards will include a pair of livestreams hosted by our friends at The Game Cellar.
The first one, which will reveal the three finalists for each Award category, is slated for December 14. There’s a chance, however, we will host this alongside a Planetfall pack opening stream on the 13th.
Then the event will culminate with The Game Cellar’s 2023 PWA Awards Ceremony live stream on January 11. More details on the livestreams will be released next week.
Our new Judge’s Panel aims to advance the event’s popularity and enhance the overall voting process. These esteemed judges bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the PWA’s, ensuring that all recipients are truly deserving of the recognition they receive.
