Parallel Recap: Dec 12th – Dec 19th

Hello and welcome back to my weekly recap. I’m Lleeto and I look forward to documenting the Parallel and Echelon events that have happened this week.

Payload – Second Prime Sink:

On December 16th, the second PRIME sink went live!

Users can now swap one (1) PRIME to receive one (1) random card from the Payload. Up to 10,000 PRIME can be submitted into the payload in any single transaction.

At launch, the Payload inventory is heavily made up of Common and Uncommon first-edition cards. To a new player, this is rather beneficial as Common and Uncommon cards on average make up half of a player’s deck. I’m intrigued to see the price dynamic between the Payload cost, PRIME price, and the market price of these cards once the game and PRIME are fully online.

Payload is a continuous sink so there’s no need to feel rushed to try it out. Parallel intends on refilling Payload with new cards as new expansions and cards are released.

Possibly the best use-case for Payload is for new players with a limited number of Digital-collectibles [NFTs]. Players will be able to use Payload to acquire new Digital-collectible cards with their PRIME earnings from gameplay. This allows them to slowly increase the number of Digital-collectibles in their deck and thus earn more PRIME from wins.

Prime Sink Total:

Below is the total amount of PRIME that has flowed through PRIME sinks as of December 19th 6:29 PM GMT.

Prime Rewards Arc:

The more NFT cards you have in a deck, the more Prime you can earn. Shown below is how important those cards are to maximizing your Prime earnings. As you can see – missing just one Digital-collectible [NFT] from your deck results in %30 reduced PRIME earnings from wins.

As a result of this graph – people looked towards the Multifold Key. This key when Key Framed gives the following effect: for each Digital-Collectible [NFT] in your deck, additional Apparition copies of that card are treated as Digital-collectibles [NFTs]. As a result, with this key, you only need to actually own and have in your deck one copy of any Digital-collectible for the other same-named copies to be treated as such.

Replication – Dynamic Sink Explained:

Replicating a card to create an Echo has a PRIME and Renown cost which vary between rarities. The below visual explains how the cost to replicate a card can fluctuate depending on the demand for that card. The more a card is replicated by the community, the higher the PRIME cost will rise. Additionally, the less a card is being Replicated by the community, the more the PRIME cost will reduce. The Renown [think of it as xp] cost always stays the same.

Echelon – Prime Unlock Options

On Wednesday 14th the Echelon Discord held a community call to discuss the pros and cons of enabling transferability of the PRIME token as soon as possible, or with a delay.

From this discussion arose five different options which can be found here. Below is a brief summary table of each option, but the link will have a better description of each.

The Echelon Discord will be holding another community call today [December 19th, 4 pm EST] to discuss these five options in more detail. Feedback on this topic is very important as the goal is to finalize these options by end of the year. Therefore, once the vote to unlock PRIME comes around January 1st, the most popular options are able to be voted for.
