Hello and welcome back to my Parallel weekly recap. I’m Lleeto and I look forward to documenting the Parallel events that have happened this week.
Topics covered in this post include the recent 5th Parallel pack drop, and a huge update to parallel.life, Echelon giveaway, plus more!
The fifth and penultimate Parallel pack drop of the base set took place over the weekend. With a successful manifest claim period days prior, there weren’t many packs left up for grabs for the first come first served event.
With an excited crowd watching, those who claimed their manifest packs in advance could immediately start ripping them live in the Parallel discord. Parallel Community members altogether, opening packs, and celebrating each others pulls is really a great thing to be a part of.
On Wednesday Parallel released a huge update to Parallel.life/cards. This update brought a fresh new look to the page, as well as allowing users to filter by, Parallel, artist, cached, plus more. Additionally, the most important update is the release of all current card functions and stats.
With this release, the Parallel community can start to theory-craft decks and card combos. We’ve already seen so much activity and enthusiasm from the community figuring out powerful card combos, and potential strong deck structures.
Participants of the September 3rd Stoic Sellsword Faucet had a chance to win the Stoic Sellsword Masterpiece.
Congratulations to Faucet pull #2017!
Parallel co-founder Kalos shared some of his ideas with us about how characters in the Parallel world could wear others’ equipment, and how it could be obtained.
He touches on a very exciting idea that equipment could be earned through winning a match against an opponent who had staked the equipment, possibly in some sort of wager match.
Parallel jumped into the discussion giving us some great lore alpha when asked about different logos appearing on these items.
Of course, this is all unconfirmed open discussion so things spoken about may not be implemented into the actual game. It’s fun to think about though.
Be sure to check out the tweet threads here.
Two new Paragon models were revealed!
Parallel co-founder Kalos quote tweeted the Gaffar model saying: “wait until you see them emote”.
We can assume these Paragon emotes will be useable in-game so I am very excited to see the range of emotes we’ll have at our disposal to communicate with our opponents. Hopefully, we can unlock rare emotes through gameplay and achievements too.
Lastly, one thing I am very curious about: if in-game emotes are done through our Paragons, what happens if our Paragon is destroyed in-game? Would that mean we can no longer emote for the rest of the game?
//Earthen: Gaffar, Arbiter of Earth
//Augencore: Arak, Combat Overseer
As with all things Parallel produce, this potential match history page looks incredibly clean. I’m sure we will spend a lot of time here.
The final two cards of pack drop five were revealed and they did not disappoint:
//Kathari: Drusian Exhorter
//Shroud: Shepherd of the Fallen
Below you can see them as well as a full sheet of all PD5 card art:
With grant proposals right around the corner, Echelon have launched a giveaway in order to incentivize the community to claim their Prime so that they are eligible to vote.
To enter: simply claim Prime from Echelon.io before September 17th 11:59 PM ET in order to have a chance at winning one of eight PDV packs!
I hope I have helped keep you up-to-date with the Parallel world. If you have any questions then please feel free to tag me on Twitter @Lleeto26. Don’t forget to follow @Primewiki so you don’t miss future posts. We have some exciting stuff planned that we think you’ll enjoy.
