Hello, and welcome back to my weekly recap. I’m Lleeto, a PrimeWiki co-founder, and I look forward to documenting the Parallel and Echelon events over the past week.
Patch 0.21 went live on August 29, 2023, and with it came some significant game updates, card buffs, and nerfs. The most notable nerfs probably impact the Kathari, with many Kathari mains rushing to Twitter with outcries and some funny memes [see below]. You can check out the full patch notes in the Parallel Discord here.
Patch 0.21 came with upgraded card treatments to First Edition and Special Edition cards so they can be easily differentiated in the game. Below, you can see that Special Edition Cards have a holographic shine. First Edition Cards have a bare shimmer, and Apparition Cards don’t have any treatment.
The Parallel Closed Beta gates opened up to those holding a Parallel Avatar through the Snapshot. Additionally, a Snapshot occurs on August 21st, 2023, at 5 pm EST. This Snapshot will capture all wallets holding a Pudgy Penguin NFT. Those wallets captured in the Snapshot will then be granted access to the Parallel TCG Closed Beta! Reaching level 30 in this first Parallel TCG Battle Pass rewards the truly OG in-game title of two slashes //. This Battle Pass will end at the end of the month, and a new one will replace it with new rewards. There are two ways to reach level 30:
You will need 9,000 Glints to reach level 30, and you can buy Glints from the Parallel Shop. Buying a mega [6800], medium[1600], and small [625] Glints bundle will get you 9025 Glints for 31.1 Prime.
Each Battle Pass level has rewards attached to it. So reaching level 30 will also reward all the rewards for the previous levels: 30 Apparition Packs, several Premium Packs, and some XP boosting Keys.

This is the first look at the dedicated Parallel Marketplace. Sanctuary (previously Uplink) allows shoppers to sort by ability, energy cost, and other in-game attributes. You can bid, ask, offer, and counteroffer in card-to-card or card-to-PRIME trades.
