Parallel TCG announced that the release of their Open Beta will be on February 29th, 2024. The news was unveiled in a great Screenrant article which also contains a top-tier Open Beta announcement cinematic that you can see below.
It looks like the Game Cellar breakfast show will have some juicy Open Beta details for us all tomorrow morning at 9am EST. You can join the conversation in the Parallel Discord or watch live on the Game Cellar Twitter or Twitch channels.
ParaLan was a huge success at NFT Paris this past week. The first-ever European Parallel tournament was held in addition to panel talks, and many other games to try out, including What The Funge.
Anyone at the event could enter the Parallel tournament and fight their way to the last 16. See a video of them in action here.
The ones who made it through can be seen in the last 16 bracket below, along with the battles that took place along the way to the final showdown.
The battle for third place was between BranFrost and Lhotse with Lhotse coming out on top and securing $1500 in PRIME and a Lattice1 Grid+.
The final came down to a match-up of giants with Elahzul facing off against Manos with Manos coming out on top to be crowned the first European and ParaLan Parallel TCG champion!
1st Manos received $4000 in PRIME and a Parallel loot crate.
2nd Elahzul received $2500 in PRIME and a Lattice1 Gird+
3rd Lhotse $1500 in PRIME and a Lattice1 Grid+.

Manos received a 1/1 Golden Pills Card for his triumph in the ParaLan tournament. He joins Quinto as being the only two people with their own 1/1 Golden Pills Card Back! Quinto received his for winning the first official Parallel tournament last year.
Kalos finalizing the Colony paper, the marketing team getting fired up for the TCG open beta release, resources are being added to the Colony team, and Mac and mobile support is progressing.
Kalos met up with some big brains in the world of AI this past week whilst in Japan, along with meeting strategic partners. Recently Parallel revealed the Japanese client so we can assume some spicy moves are being made over there.
ParallelAiRev put together a nice list of things to expect from Parallel within the next 90 days.
PRIME hit a new all time high of $15.36 according to price data on CoinGecko. This comes just a week after the previous all time high covered in last week’s recap of $14.84
The upcoming election has some structural changes, which were laid out in Bulletins 2306 and 2307. These include a shift to linear voting, full-time requirements, and two year terms. With nine total seats and four internally re-elected EPs, there are five seats available this year. Below are more details on the process. On March 15, Echelon will create a new channel in Discord for the 2024 Election and create threads for each candidate. Each candidate must upload their Candidate Materials (resume and audio file) by March 20th. EPs will review the submissions. On March 28th, contingent on passing review, candidate submissions become public for the community. Panels are scheduled for April 1-3. These take place on Discord Stages. The moderating EP will be announced the day before each panel. It is possible that one EP moderates more panels than others, but all four continuing EPs are eligible to moderate.
