With PDVI behind us and the anticipation of a faucet ahead of us this weekend, I wanted to take a moment to discuss two topics.
It’s no secret that Parallel announced the highly anticipated Closed Alpha coming in February. The announcement came at the end of last year and now we’re only weeks away from the beginning of the month.
But how will you know if you get access to play the Closed Alpha Production Client? And how many people will be given access? Those and other questions remain unanswered for now.
That’s why I think the Alpha Security Clearance Card Back is going to command a hefty price leading into the Closed Alpha.
As of now, the Card Back is the only guaranteed way for a person to get access to the Closed Alpha. Another ‘flurry of genius’ by Parallel to build hype by using a digital asset as a form of access to their game.
Right now the card sits at close to .8 ETH. I’m betting that we see some price appreciation on that bad boy once the list of players is decided. Those that want to play but didn’t make it on the list, will be clambering for Clearance.
As a Discord Warden for Parallel, I have the unique privilege to play the Closed Alpha right now. I’m having a ton of fun too. Normally I’m a FPS maximalist, but the strategic decision making and the finely crafted visuals (we like the cards), are keeping me glued to my PC.
With the close of PDVI the collectors are now anxiously awaiting the announcement of PDVI Parasets. Plenty of speculation is happening in Discord, with some reasonable takes on what they might be.
The following numbers and analysis on the Parasets is purely speculative and not indicative of actual Parallel PDVI Parasets.
Based on previous announcements, the expectation of Paraset collections are:
This means each set has a total number of:
Per usual, the AC set commands the highest cost to acquire while the FE set is the most affordable.
Based on these approximations, there were the following completed sets as of this morning. Shoutout to Jake, your friendly Discord Warden for pulling these together!
Total – 644
After PDV, the Gravity Key is trending to have the highest edition size of any key! (save for the Prime Key)
Again, these numbers are approximate guesses and no official announcement from Parallel regarding the Parasets has been released. Acquire cards at your own risk!
Have a great weekend and may your faucet pulls be Special Edition! Fun fact: if you participate in the faucet, you’re automatically entered into a raffle for the MP!
