My key takeaway here is that Echelon believes that long term value is built by having a strong gameplay sink. Bolstering the gameplay sink is a step in the right direction in my opinion, because it intentionally adds value to the pool that will have the most throughput. Additionally, it shows that the EPs acknowledge that future value will come from the game players. By adding more value to the gameplay pool, the EPs are betting big on the success of the games in the ecosystem.

The key month to keep an eye on is July 2023 when the initial pools are depleted. That’s when most of these changes go into effect.
