The Prime Time Comics Contest

After a successful Inside the Lines kick-off stream with The Game Cellar last week, we’re back to announce a new contest for the Parallel community.

The Prime Time Comics Contest is open to everyone and features a content creation challenge focused on Parallel’s inaugural comic series, The Priming. If you’re not yet familiar with the comics, just keep reading!

As of now, four issues in the six-part series have been published. And as we revealed during last week’s show, Issue 5 is right around the corner.

To celebrate the upcoming release, and to help get new fans caught up on everything that has happened in the Parallel story so far, we want to see the community create some comic-related content. This is an “anything goes” contest, where no format, time limit, or word counts are imposed.

Full details on the contest are included below. If you have any further questions, please reach out to @Goldy_TGG on Discord/X.

Contest Details

Powered by Prime.Wiki and The Game Cellar, this contest features a Grand Prize of a FREE Avatar directly from Parallel.

Additional prizes (like digital cards, physical packs, and more) will also be awarded for outstanding entries in various possible categories like most creative, most educational, or best memes.

HOW IT WORKS: The contest rules are very simple. Create and share any type of original content that focuses on “The Priming” comic series.

Some examples include: A highlight reel on YouTube or TikTok, a reaction video of the series so far, a recap article, a piece of digital art, or even a thread on X (Twitter) with a breakdown of your favorite comic characters. It can be anything you want, as short or as long as you want, as long as it focuses on “The Priming” comics published by Parallel.

DURATION: The contest is open for 11 days and the official deadline for entries is: Monday, September 23 at 11:59p EST.

SUBMISSIONS: To submit your entry via social media, you must include the hashtag #ParallelComics and tag our @ParallelLore account on X. If you want to submit your entry directly to us via e-mail, please send it to contact@prime.wiki and use “Parallel Comics Contest” as the subject line.

SELECTIONS: Members of Prime.Wiki and The Game Cellar will review all entries. Winners will be selected based on categories like originality, creativity, and educational value. We also clearly love the memes. NOTE: Use discretion. No offensive or lewd submissions will be considered.

As always, a huge thanks to Parallel Studios and The Game Cellar for making this contest possible! That includes Ry, who really enjoys the lines.

About “The Priming” Comics

We understand that some of you may have not been able to read the comics yet. Therefore, if you want to check out an issue before purchasing a digital copy, feel free to message us on X at @PrimeWiki or @ParallelLore and we’ll share a “free read” on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We’ve also included some other comic and lore related resources below:

The Emerging Lore Series

Similarly, if you are new to the Parallel TCG and haven’t had a chance to dig into the game’s basic lore, below is a series I wrote for Prime.Wiki a few years ago. Disclaimer: Always refer to Parallel’s official website for the latest version of lore.

Kick-Off Stream Recap

In case you missed last week’s inaugural “Inside The Lines” stream with The Game Cellar, we included a link to the full recording below.

This was my first time hosting a stream since 2020, so it was quite the wild ride. But aside from Ry somehow getting Banished to the Singularity, it was an absolute blast. A huge thanks to Parallel Ambassador (and verified Lore Goblin Overlord) AllieStrasza for joining the show and sharing her thoughts with us.

We are tentatively planning to host our next stream in early-October.

We would also like to congratulate the first set of winners of our Lore Trivia challenges. The winner of our very first Native Language challenge goes to LoftyPuma! His swift deciphering and riddle solving earned him a free Collector Pack from the Planetfall pack drop.

We also dropped a couple of juicy Lore Trivia questions, each one earning Kaveman and JoshOng high praise and a pair of Japanese-run Parallel card packs, respectively. Lastly, our most recent Native Language challenge was first completed by Sleep3zz, who also wins a pair of the Japanese card packs.

All hail these mighty lore lords for their wit and cunning, and we look forward to dropping more Lore Trivia soon!

Thank you!
